GRIEF COUNSELING

There has been an ever-increasing desire to expand traditional roles beyond "at-need" and "pre-need" services into "after-need" or post funeral services for the bereaved.  Armstrong Funeral Home provides bereavement services for the families we serve.

Starting in the new year we will be holding our grief recovery program for the Port Colborne and surrounding communities FREE of charge.  We hold these seminars and provide them to people who have experienced loss from Death, loss of Relationship, loss of Trust, loss of Safety or any other significant loss.   We understand that grief lies on many shoulders of the bereaved and we are here to help any way we can.

Our next FREE seminar will start on Thursday, February 2, 2012 and will continue every Thursday for 10 weeks. It will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Northland Pointe. This is a FREE seminar and RSVP is required. Please call us at (905) 834-3483 to book your spot.

Our funeral home also offers a variety of booklets to help people of all ages understand not only death, but specific illnesses family members might be suffering from, as well as specific family member loss. (eg:  Loss of a mother-grandmother).  Our lending library also include books and videos for adults and children explaining death and loss of a loved one.
